Application
Application Areas | Specific Applications | Effect Description |
Building Doors and Windows Industry | Surface protection during the production, transportation, and installation of PVC-coated steel door and window profiles | Prevents scratches and impacts on profiles during processing, handling, and installation, maintaining surface smoothness to enhance the quality and aesthetics of finished doors and windows. |
Curtain Wall Decoration Industry | Protection of PVC-coated steel curtain wall profiles | During curtain wall construction, prevents contamination of profile surfaces by stains, cement slurry, etc., ensuring overall visual appeal after installation. |
Home Renovation Industry | Protection of interior PVC-coated decorative moldings and partition profiles | Protects profiles from damage during renovation, safeguarding the final outcome of home decoration. |
Product Features:
Low-viscosity emulsion with high initial tack, low peel strength, excellent conformability, and minimal dimensional change over time.
V. Application Method:
Substrate Preparation: Ensure the surface of plastic steel profiles is clean, dry, and free of oil, dust, release agents, or other contaminants. For stubborn stains, wipe with a clean soft cloth dipped in a specialized cleaner, then rinse with water and air-dry.
Emulsion Preparation:
To adjust viscosity as needed, dilute with deionized water. Recommended dilution ratio should not exceed 10%. Stir thoroughly until uniform.
For color matching, add appropriate amount of water-based color paste and mix until color is consistent.
Application Method:
Spraying: Using an air compressor or airless sprayer, maintain a distance of 15–25 cm between the spray gun and the profile surface. Adjust the air pressure to 0.3–0.5 MPa. Apply 2–3 coats using uniform cross-hatch spraying, allowing 1–2 hours between coats (adjust based on ambient temperature and humidity). Ensure even coating distribution with a dry film thickness of 8–12μm.
Brush/Roller Application: Apply evenly with a high-quality brush or roller along the grain of the profile surface, avoiding back-and-forth strokes. Pre-coat edges, corners, and grooves to prevent missed areas. Apply 2–3 coats for optimal coverage.
Drying Conditions: After applying the emulsion, profiles may dry naturally at room temperature or enter drying equipment. Set drying temperature to 40–50°C (104–122°F) for 3–6 hours to ensure complete emulsion drying and film formation.
Environmental Requirements: Apply at temperatures ≥2°C (36°F) and relative humidity ≤85%. Avoid application during rainy, windy, or high-temperature conditions with direct strong sunlight. During winter application, implement appropriate heating measures to maintain the required environmental temperature.
Film Removal Recommendation: Remove the protective film at an appropriate time based on actual usage. When peeling, start slowly from the edges of the profile to prevent residue or surface damage caused by tearing.
