Application
Application Areas | Specific Applications | Effect Description |
Home Appliance Manufacturing Industry | Surface protection for refrigerator PCM side panels | During production, transportation, warehousing, and sales, prevents scratches, stains, and aging on PCM side panel surfaces, safeguards the aesthetic quality of home appliances, and enhances product market competitiveness. |
Home Appliance Refurbishment Industry | Protection for washing machine PCM side panels | Provides protection for refurbished PCM side panels, restores product appearance, and extends service life. |
Home Appliance Parts Manufacturing Industry | Protection for air conditioner outdoor unit PCM side panels | Protects PCM side panel semi-finished products during production, reduces surface damage, and improves finished product yield rates. |
Product Features:
Medium-to-high viscosity emulsion with high transparency and resistance to yellowing, suitable for simple compression molding.
V. Usage Instructions:
Substrate Preparation: Ensure the PCM side panel surface is clean, dry, and free of contaminants such as oil, dust, or release agents. For minor stains, wipe with a lint-free cloth dampened with a dedicated cleaner, then dry with a clean, lint-free cloth.
Emulsion Preparation:
Adjust viscosity as needed by diluting with deionized water. Recommended dilution ratio: ≤8%. Stir thoroughly until uniform.
For color matching, add appropriate amount of water-based color paste and mix until color is consistent.
Application Methods:
Spray Application: Using an air compressor or airless sprayer, maintain a 15–25 cm distance between the spray gun and the PCM side panel surface. Adjust air pressure to 0.3–0.5 MPa. Apply 2–3 coats using a uniform crisscross pattern, allowing 1–2 hours between coats (adjust based on ambient temperature and humidity). Ensure even coating coverage with a dry film thickness of 6–10 μm.
Brush/Roller Application: Apply evenly with a high-quality brush or roller along the PCM side panel grain direction, avoiding back-and-forth strokes. Pre-coat edges, corners, and holes to prevent missed areas. Apply 2–3 coats to achieve the desired coating effect.
Drying Conditions: PCM side panels coated with emulsion may dry naturally at room temperature or enter drying equipment. Set drying temperature to 50–70°C (122–158°F) for 4–8 hours to ensure complete emulsion drying and film formation.
Environmental Requirements: Apply at temperatures ≥3°C (37°F) and relative humidity ≤85%. Avoid application during rainy, windy, or high-temperature conditions with direct intense sunlight. During winter application, implement appropriate heating measures to maintain the required environmental temperature.
Film Removal Recommendations:
Remove the protective film at an appropriate time based on actual usage conditions.
When peeling, start slowly from the edge of the side panel to prevent residue or damage to the PCM surface caused by tearing.
