Description
CHIMASSORB 944 is a high molecular weight hindered amine light stabilizer offering excellent compatibility, extraction resistance, and low volatility. It has a wide range of applications: polyolefin plastics (such as PP, PE), olefin copolymers like EVA, and blends of PP with elastomers. Additionally, 944 effectively stabilizes POM, PA, PU, rigid and flexible PVC, and PVC blends, while also demonstrating good efficacy for styrenic elastomers and adhesives. CHIMASSORB 944 significantly enhances the light stability of thin products, particularly fibers and films. For thick-section items, it is especially suitable for polyethylene products. Furthermore, it is approved for applications involving indirect food contact. It is recommended for use with UV absorbers (Tinuvin 327/328 or Chimassorb 81) in products containing little or no pigment, or to improve the lightfastness of certain organic pigments.

Features
CHIMASSORB 944 effectively enhances the light stability of thin products, particularly fibers and films. For thick-section products, it is especially suitable for polyethylene items. Additionally, it can be used in applications requiring indirect food contact. It serves as a highly efficient, long-lasting thermal stabilizer for both thick and thin products, offering excellent resistance to extraction. Its use is recommended in applications requiring indirect food contact.
Application Guidelines:
Thick-section products HDPE, LLDPE, LDPE, and PP 0.05–0.6%
Films* LLDPE, LDPE 0.1–1%
Flat yarns PP, HDPE 0.2–0.8%
Fibers PP 0.1-1.0%
*Recommended for use with UV absorbers (Tinuvin 327/328 or Chimassorb 81) in products where pigments are not used or used sparingly, and to improve the lightfastness of certain organic pigments.
Application
CHIMASSORB 944 is applicable in polyolefin plastics (such as PP, PE), olefin copolymers like EVA, and PP blends with elastomers. Additionally, CHIMASSORB demonstrates effective performance in polyoxymethylene (POM), polyamide (PA), polyurethane (PU), rigid and flexible PVC, and PVC blends, while also delivering excellent results for styrenic elastomers and adhesives.
