Features
Chimassorb 2020 perfectly combines exceptionally high light stability and long-term thermal stability with other auxiliary properties (such as minimal color interference and improved melt flow rate control). It provides outstanding light stability for PP fibers, PP narrow films, PE films, and thick PP and PE products. It also exhibits unique long-term thermal stability in filled PP products and carbon black-filled systems.
Application Guidelines:
Fibers Light and thermal stability for PP 0.1 – 1.0%
Narrow Webs Light/thermal stability for PP and HDPE 0.2 – 0.8%
Thick Products* Light/thermal stability for PP, HDPE, LDPE, LLDPE 0.1- 0.6%
Film* LDPE, LLDPE, EVA, EBA light/heat stability 0.1–1.0%
*For uncolored or lightly tinted products, and to improve color fastness of certain organic pigments, use in combination with UV absorbers (e.g., Tinuvin 327/328 and Chimassorb 81).
Application
Chimassorb 2020 FDL is a highly effective light stabilizer suitable for polyolefins (PP/PE) and polyolefin copolymers (such as EVA), as well as copolymers of polypropylene and elastomers. Additionally, it finds application in certain specific cases within polyacetal, polyamide, polyurethane, soft and rigid polyvinyl chloride (PVC), PVC copolymers, and elastomer polymer adhesives.
