Typical Properties
Yellow-brown amorphous solid. It is composed of rosin monomer and dimer. It has more oxidation resistance, brightness and anti-crystallinity than rosin.
Application/Uses
● Paint and varnish: all kinds of modified resins produced by polymerized rosin are used to make paint with good brushing performance, not easy to return to yellow, hard paint film, good gloss and strong water resistance.
● Oil ink: 140 # polymerized rosin is used to produce high gloss printed products coated with varnish and printed varnish. The modified resin is the main material of offset printing ink. The ink has the advantages of fast fixation, high gloss, good transmission, etc .; polymerized rosin can be used to make iron varnish and iron ink; it can improve the adhesion of plastic printing ink and improve gloss.
● Adhesives and adhesive tapes: improve adhesion, improve the thermal performance of adhesive tapes, reduce product costs, and can partially replace terpene resins and petroleum resins.
● Chinese medicine wax pills: improve the weather resistance and toughness of wax pills.
● Precision casting: suitable for casting of aerospace components.
● Water-based coating: After amination, it produces quick-drying water-based coatings and inks. After printing and coating, it can restore water-resistant performance and form a bright film.
● Color: It is used as a high-quality pigment surface treatment agent to make the pigment bright and bright.
Production process:
Rosin is dissolved in 200 # solvent gasoline, after acid-catalyzed polymerization reaction, slag discharge, neutralization, water washing, clarification, and refined by distillation in a distillation tower.
