Waterborne Polyurethane 3818 (Thermally Activated Type) is an innovative thermally activated waterborne polyurethane dispersion. This product remains inert at room temperature, offering excellent storage and handling stability. When heated to its activation temperature (~80°C), its molecular segments rapidly mobilize, generating exceptional initial tack and ultimate bond strength. This unique “on-demand bonding” characteristic enables precise, efficient, and high-strength bonding in composite, laminating, and assembly processes, making it particularly suitable for automated production lines.

III. Product Characteristics:

Outstanding Environmental Performance: Water-based dispersion medium free of volatile toxic solvents like benzene or esters. Emits no irritating odors during use. Complies with national environmental regulations and end-product eco-standards (e.g., toys, food contact packaging).

Excellent Film-Forming Properties: Forms a uniform, dense film upon drying. The film exhibits good flexibility and tensile strength, resisting cracking or peeling. Demonstrates strong adhesion to various substrates (e.g., metal, plastic, wood, fabric).

Strong chemical stability: With an anionic aliphatic polycarbonate core, the product exhibits outstanding resistance to acids, alkalis, and salt spray. It resists yellowing, aging, or decomposition during prolonged use, effectively enhancing substrate weather resistance and corrosion resistance.

High Application Convenience: With moderate viscosity (<500 mPas), the product can be used directly or diluted with deionized water to achieve the desired viscosity for specific application requirements. It supports multiple application methods including brush coating, roller coating, and spray coating. Its fast drying speed enhances production efficiency.

 

IV. Product Applications:

Automotive Interiors: Laminating and bonding leather, fabrics, foam, and plastic films in interior components (e.g., dashboards, door panels, armrests).

Footwear Manufacturing:

Bonding upper materials (e.g., microfiber, mesh, genuine leather) and structural bonding, replacing traditional solvent-based adhesives.

Flexible Material Laminating:

Furniture/Decor:

Bonding upholstery fabrics, seat fabrics, and foam.

Apparel: Laminating functional fabrics (waterproof breathable membranes).

V. Product Packaging:
