I. Product Overview:
Water-Based Polyurethane 3535 (Water-Resistant) is a water-based polymer material distinguished by its exceptional water resistance, combined with excellent properties such as a soft, fine film formation and high gloss transparency. Using water as the dispersion medium, it meets environmental requirements and delivers superior finishing effects for various leather substrates. It enhances the visual texture of leather while imparting outstanding physical properties, making it suitable for processing diverse leather goods.
II. Product Specifications:
Appearance: Blue-tinted translucent liquid
Solid Content: 34±1%
pH Value: 7.5-9.5
Viscosity (mPa·s): <500
Composition: Aliphatic anionic type
III. Product Features:
1. Forms a soft, fine, non-tacky film
2. Produces a thin film with high gloss and transparency
3. Superior physical properties including resistance to dry/wet rubbing, tape adhesion, and abrasion
IV. Primary Applications:
Apparel Leather: Ideal for coating apparel leather, forming a soft, fine, high-gloss transparent layer that enhances appearance and comfort. Its water resistance and durability against dry/wet rubbing ensure optimal performance in daily wear.
Upholstery Leather: Suitable for finishing upholstery leather, imparting excellent appearance and physical properties. Sofas are prone to friction and water exposure during daily use. This product's resistance to dry/wet wiping, water, and abrasion effectively protects upholstery leather, extending sofa lifespan.
Bag Leather: Enhances the aesthetics and durability of bag leather through finishing. Bags are frequently carried and exposed to friction and external elements during use. This product's properties ensure bag leather maintains its appearance and performance.
Upper Leather: Suitable for finishing shoe uppers, it imparts a soft handfeel and high-gloss appearance. Its water resistance and abrasion resistance enable the leather to withstand friction during walking and potential exposure to wet conditions.
Automotive Seat Upholstery Leather: Suitable for finishing automotive seat upholstery leather. Car seats endure frequent friction and potential exposure to water stains during use. This product provides effective protection, maintaining the leather's appearance and performance while enhancing the quality of automotive interiors.
V. Application Method:
Preparation: Thoroughly clean the leather substrate surface before use, removing dust, grease, impurities, and other contaminants to ensure the leather surface is clean and dry. For different leather types, perform appropriate pretreatment as needed (e.g., sanding, repairing damage) to ensure good adhesion between the coating and the leather substrate.
Dilution (if required): Depending on coating requirements and leather absorbency, the product may be diluted with deionized water. When diluting, slowly add deionized water to the product while continuously stirring to ensure uniform dilution and prevent localized concentration variations that could affect coating results.
Application Methods: Multiple application techniques such as spraying, roller coating, or brushing may be employed. Select the appropriate method based on leather type, style, and production process. Control coating volume and film thickness to ensure uniform coverage of the leather surface, avoiding defects like missed areas, sagging, or bubbles.
Drying and Curing: After application, place the leather in a well-ventilated environment for drying. Adjust drying temperature and duration based on leather type and coating thickness. Typically employ natural air-drying or low-temperature drying to ensure complete curing and full performance realization.
VI. Product Packaging:
50KG/drum. Store in a well-ventilated, dry, cool warehouse away from direct sunlight and high temperatures. Keep away from fire and heat sources to prevent thermal degradation.
