Water-based laminating adhesive is an eco-friendly adhesive using water as the dispersion medium, specifically designed for laminating processes between plastic films (BOPP, PET, CPP, etc.) and paper substrates (coated paper, cardstock, etc.). It achieves high-strength bonding through physical cross-linking and polymer film-forming technology, completely free of toxic solvents such as benzene and ketones.

Product Performance
Features | Description |
Environmentally Friendly & Safe | Zero solvent addition, no toxic gas emissions. |
Easy to Operate | Water-based system allows direct cleaning of equipment with plain water, eliminating the need for fireproofing or explosion-proof facilities. |
High Bonding Strength | Excellent adhesion to difficult-to-bond films such as PE and PP, with resistance to curling and creasing. |
Excellent Light Transmission | Transparent film formation does not affect the color reproduction of printed patterns. |
Strong Weather Resistance | Resistant to UV aging, with no yellowing during long-term storage. |
Product Applications:
Printing and Packaging Industry:
Laminating for book covers, gift boxes, and shopping bags
Food packaging (cookie boxes, chocolate wrappers, etc.)
Pharmaceutical aluminum foil/PVC blister packaging
Label Industry:
Pressure-sensitive labels (film labels + liner lamination)
Industrial materials.
Building Material Surface Decorative Film Laminating:
Automotive interior film lamination.
V. Usage Instructions:
1. Equipment and Parameter Settings:
Coating Method: Anilox roller coating recommended (optimal uniformity)
Coating Weight: Dry adhesive weight 3-5 g/m² (adjust based on substrate)
Drying Temperature: 60-80°C hot air drying (ensure complete moisture evaporation)
Laminating Pressure: 0.3-0.6 MPa (recommended roller temperature 40-50°C)
2. Operating Procedure:
Substrate Pre-treatment Adhesive Application Drying Hot Press Laminating Curing
Pre-treatment: Clean substrate surface, ensuring no oil or dust (corona treatment yields better results for plastic films)
Adhesive Application: Apply evenly, avoiding missed spots or adhesive buildup
Drying: Tunnel oven dwell time ≥15 seconds, humidity ≤60%
Laminating: Press roller temperature 40-50°C, recommended line speed 20-30 m/min
Curing: Stack at ambient temperature ≥25°C for 24-48 hours to achieve final strength
3. Dilution Method:
If viscosity is too high, dilute with deionized water (addition ≤5%), stir for 10 minutes until uniform
VI. Product Packaging:
50KG/drum. Store in a cool, sealed environment at 5-35°C. Avoid freezing (freeze-thaw cycles cause demulsification failure). Shelf life: 6 months (use within 3 months after opening).
