Description
Shandong Jinhai Titanium Industry R-6618(T) Rutile Titanium Dioxide (Sulphuric Acid Process) is a rutile-type titanium dioxide pigment with zirconium, aluminum, and organic surface treatment. This slightly anionic white pigment features a narrow particle size distribution, excellent whiteness, and high weather resistance. It is widely used in the production of coatings, plastics, paints, rubber, and inks.
1. Titanium Dioxide R-6618 is a rutile-type pigment suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications. It offers high gloss, weather resistance, excellent dispersibility, and paint film curing properties in industrial coatings. Recommended for decorative paper, plastics, coatings, and inks, particularly in applications demanding high weather resistance.
2. In plastics, Titanium Dioxide R-6618 exhibits excellent weather resistance and anti-yellowing properties, with only a slight reduction in tinting strength. It also demonstrates good dispersibility in plasticized flexible vinyl resins.
3. For inks: Particularly beneficial for oil-based resin formulations due to its high opacity. Brightness and gloss are paramount for oil-based inks. Its excellent durability and bake resistance offer special value for metallic decorative inks.
4. Polyethylene: Easy dispersibility (including masterbatches), high opacity, stable hue, excellent tinting strength, low reactivity with antioxidants, uniform and stable color.
5. PVC Plastics: High opacity, yellowing resistance, excellent dispersibility
ABS: Yellowing resistance, excellent dispersibility, good whiteness
PP: Excellent dispersibility, high opacity, good whiteness, low reactivity with antioxidants
PVC-steel composite: Excellent dispersibility, high opacity, low color change, anti-chalking
PS: Excellent dispersibility, uniform and stable hue, low discoloration.
6. Engineering Plastics (Acetal, PC): Low moisture absorption, excellent dispersibility
Pipes (PVC, R-PVC, ABS, HDPE): Excellent dispersibility, low color change
Masterbatches: Excellent dispersibility, high fill factor, uniform and stable hue.
7. R-6618 offers good gloss, excellent dispersibility, and possesses outstanding hiding power, tinting strength, and good outdoor resistance to chalking. It is a white powder, insoluble in water, organic acids, and weak inorganic acids, slightly soluble in alkalis. It dissolves completely when boiled for extended periods in concentrated sulfuric acid or hydrofluoric acid, and is also soluble in saturated potassium argon carbonate solution. It exhibits excellent hiding power and outstanding pigment properties, with high tinting strength and low oil absorption.
8. High Weather Resistance: Titanium Dioxide R-6618 contains a high rutile content with intact crystal lattices and sufficient filler loading. It undergoes comprehensive zirconium-silicon-aluminum-phosphorus multi-component inorganic coating and organic treatment, ensuring superior weather resistance.
9. Excellent Dispersibility: Specialized inorganic and organic surface treatments minimize contact between TiO₂ particles, enabling outstanding dispersion during application. Consequently, the titanium dioxide exhibits good wettability and is easy to grind.
10. Low Oil Absorption: Maintains excellent flow properties during application in coatings and inks, contributing to cost savings.
11. Low Grinding Loss: Utilizes specialized hydrolysis, salt treatment, calcination, and surface modification processes to produce softer particles that are easier to grind, resulting in minimal grinding loss.
