Viscosity Modifiers (Viscosity Modifying Resins):
Escorez viscosity modifiers are amorphous, glassy, low-molecular-weight hydrocarbon polymers that enhance the adhesive strength of hot melt and pressure-sensitive adhesives. They are compatible with most base polymers, polymer modifiers, and antioxidants you may add to adhesive formulations.
Viscosity modifiers may affect adhesive color, odor, and stability. Selection depends primarily on softening point, composition, molecular weight, and molecular weight distribution. They can also improve compatibility with other adhesive additives.
Advantages:
Consistent quality, thermal stability, light color, polymer compatibility, low odor characteristics.
Escorez 5000 Hydrogenated Tackifier Resin Series:
Delivers exceptional color in hygiene and packaging applications
Outstanding end-use performance
Consistent quality
Achieves excellent balance between adhesive strength and cohesion
These grades facilitate strong adhesion to diverse substrates and serve as suitable alternatives to terpene and tall oil rosin ester (TORE) tackifiers.
Escorez 1000 Series:
This series ensures good compatibility with natural rubber (NR), butyl rubber, SIS, polybutylene, low-density polyethylene, and random stereopolymer polypropylene. It is used to enhance the adhesive strength of polymer blends and can modify their mechanical and optical properties.
