Polymerized rosin is formed by esterification of pentaerythritol and is a yellowish-brown amorphous solid. It features a large molecular weight, high softening point, high content, no crystallization, high acid value, low hot water soluble matter content, good oil solubility, light lead acetate discoloration, and a higher softening point than rosin.
