I. Product Overview:
This product is a conventional organic bentonite, manufactured through organic modification of high-quality, finely ground montmorillonite. Designed for use in medium-to-low polarity solvent resin systems, it is suitable for a wide range of applications including coatings, inks, and adhesives. It delivers excellent thickening, anti-settling, anti-sagging, and storage stability properties.
II. Product Features:
Offers outstanding thickening capability, particularly delivering medium-to-low shear viscosity in coating systems (e.g., Stollmer and Bolif viscosity). Simultaneously provides excellent sag resistance and anti-settling properties. Recommended for medium-to-long oil alkyd coatings, thermoplastic acrylic coatings, and similar systems.

Application
Wood coatings, general industrial coatings, anti-corrosion coatings, container coatings, marine coatings, automotive coatings, sealants, printing inks, etc.
Instructions for Use
When adding the product for use, it requires a high shear rate to ensure better dispersion within the system and achieve superior performance. There are two methods of addition:
Pre-gel Addition Method: Prepare an 8% pre-gel solution in advance for use, then add it to the system. The production process is as follows:
1. Solvent
2. Partial resin
3. 8% pre-gel of organic bentonite (high-speed dispersion for 5 minutes)
4. Dispersant
5. Pigments/Fillers (ground or high-speed dispersed to desired fineness)
6. Resin/Solvent
7. Leveling Agent
8. Paint Adjustment
Direct Addition Method: Directly add to the base material during production. Specific steps are as follows:
1. Solvent
2. Organic bentonite (high-speed dispersion for 5 minutes)
3. Polar activator or chemical activator (high-speed dispersion for 10 minutes)
4. Partial resin
5. Dispersant
6. Pigments/fillers (grind or high-speed disperse to desired fineness)
7. Resin/solvent
8. Leveling agent
9. Paint adjustment
Polar Activator Types and Dosage
Activator Type Dosage for Organic Bentonite
95% Methanol 33%
95% Ethanol 50%
95% Propylene Carbonate 33%
Chemical Activator 30%
Addition Rate: The standard addition rate for the product is 0.3%-2% of the formulation weight. The specific addition rate depends on the particular formulation.

Product Storage
Store the product in a dry, cool place to prevent moisture absorption. During use, note that the pre-gel preparation requires a high shear rate to ensure full activation.
Product Packaging and Shelf Life: Net weight is 25 kg. Under normal storage conditions, the shelf life is 2–4 years.
