Operating Procedure:
1. Cleaning: Ensure components to be bonded/potted are dry and clean;
2. Mixing: Maintain precise proportions. This product's mixing ratio is 3:1 by weight, i.e., 30g of Component A to 10g of Component B. Thoroughly mix before use. For optimal results, vacuum degassing is recommended prior to application;
3. Application: Use mixed adhesive within the workable timeframe to prevent curing and waste. Manage adhesive quantity and timing carefully.
4. Post-Use: Clean bottle openings and securely replace corresponding A/B caps to prevent chemical reactions. Store in a cool, dry location.
Frequently Asked Questions:
Q1: How do I select the right adhesive?
A: First, determine the application and function of the adhesive on your product, along with required performance characteristics. Then select the adhesive based on these factors,
such as: color, viscosity, pot life, curing time, hardness, etc.
Q2: Mixing Ratio? Should adhesive be mixed by weight or volume?
A: Weight ratio. Adhesives are formulated based on weight ratios during design. Only weight ratios ensure optimal performance.
Q3: What is the adhesive's working time?
A: Working time refers to the duration at 25°C required for the viscosity of 100 grams of mixed adhesive to double. After this time, the adhesive isn't unusable—it's a testing standard. You can judge its usability based on flowability.
Q4: Bubbles?
A: Bubbles may form during mixing. Their quantity relates to adhesive viscosity—thinner adhesives produce fewer bubbles, while thicker ones yield more. For optimal results, vacuum degassing is recommended.
Q5: Not curing? Incomplete curing? E.g., sometimes soft, sometimes hard?
A: This typically occurs due to insufficient or uneven mixing. Ensure thorough mixing, reaching all corners of the container during the process.
Q6: Can the curing time be adjusted?
A: Curing (hardening) occurs at room temperature (25°C). At 25°C, curing time extends. To shorten curing time, bake at 60°C for 3 hours to achieve basic cure. Remove the product from the oven and allow it to cool naturally.
Special Note: Adhesive curing speed is influenced by temperature and the amount of adhesive applied.
Higher temperatures increase heat release, accelerating curing; lower temperatures slow it down.
