Recommended Dosage:
Thick Products PE: 0.15-0.5%
Thin Films LLPE/LDPE/EVA: 0.15-0.7%
III. Product Applications:
1) Chimassorb 81 is primarily used in combination with hindered amine light stabilizers (HALS) in low-density and linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE) for household films, as well as in EVA copolymers. It can also serve as an ultraviolet (UV) shielding agent to protect contents in industrial and consumer packaging materials.
2) When blended with Tinuvin® hindered amine light stabilizers, Chimassorb 81 can also be used in HDPE injection molded products such as pallet boxes.
3) Chimassorb 81 can also retard degradation in other polymer types, such as plasticized PVC and rubber, caused by exposure to sunlight.
4) Chimassorb 81 can be blended with antioxidants, phosphite esters, and light stabilizers.
Performance Advantages:
Chimassorb 81 is particularly suitable for thicker films (>100μm) and thicker products.
Its low vapor pressure prevents loss during processing, while its low migration rate reduces the risk of blooming.
