Application
Composite gravure inks exhibit excellent adhesion on various plastic films such as polypropylene (BOPP, OPP), polyethylene (TE), and polyester (TET). They serve as the base resin for coatings used to protect steel structures, ships and underwater structures, machinery and automotive engineering, transportation equipment, and buildings. They are also the primary resin currently used in composite inks.
1. Industrial Anti-Corrosion Coatings: - Contains no saponifiable ester bonds; the incorporated chlorine atoms provide exceptional stability, granting the coating resistance to water and chemical corrosion. - Free of reactive double bonds, making it resistant to oxidative degradation. The coating exhibits excellent atmospheric aging resistance and light stability, with minimal yellowing or chalking. The ether components exhibit intrinsic plasticizing properties, providing sufficient flexibility without additional plasticizers, thus preventing brittleness due to plasticizer migration. Containing copolymerized vinyl chloride ethers, these coatings demonstrate excellent adhesion on various substrates, including metal surfaces like aluminum and zinc.
2. Printing Inks: Composite gravure inks produced using MP exhibit excellent adhesion on various plastic films including polypropylene (BOPP, OPP), polyethylene (TE), and polyester (TET). MP is compatible with both toluene-based and toluene-free ink systems. It provides superior pigment wetting, outstanding printing performance, excellent composite fastness, and low residual solvent content.
